From the well-known French company a new virtual instrument that emulates the sounds of a Pleyel Grand Piano.
Augmented Piano is the new virtual instrument dedicated to the sounds of the piano that the French UVI has released in recent days.
UVI Augmented Piano is offered at the price of 99 euros. It boasts 14.08GB of samples acquired at 88.kHz samplerate from a precious Pleyel Grand Piano of 1909, aimed at 44.1kHz and organized in 23.889 samples and 164 presets.
Compatible with PC/Mac system, Augmented Piano supports Audio Units, AAX, VST formats and also works in Standalone mode. It has been tested and certified for the following platforms: Digital Performer 8+, Pro Tools 11+, Logic 9+, Cubase 7+, Nuendo 6+, Ableton Live 8+, Studio One 2+, Garage Band 6, Maschine 1 & 2, Tracktion 4+, Vienna Ensemble 5, Reaper 4+, Sonar X3, Main Stage 3, MuLab 5.5+, FL Studio, Bitwig 1+, Reason 9.5+.
The recordings were made through the use of different microphones: a Royer stereo ribbon , two condensers and a PZM. The result is 3 cleverly mixed sources that are able to recreate, according to the company’s statement, extremely realistic and convincing sounds.
The software also provides a moderately evolved chain of synthesis and a set of native effects with which to process and finalize the sound.
