Novation unveils Circuit Tracks

The new groovebox boasts an all-in-one music station in a very compact device

Novation’s grooveboex lineup has a new member: Circuit Tracks. Designed for performer and instinctive music creators, Novation Circuit Tracks comprises two polyphonic digital synth tracks, four drum tracks, creative FX and performance controls, all in a very compact desktop device. The two synth engines feature 2 oscillators, noise source, a filter section, 3 envelopes, 2 LFOs, and six voices of polyphony.

Powered by a USB-C rechargable battery that ensures up to 4 hours run-time, Circuit Tracks is perfect for producers and musicians often on-the-road. The control surface features 32 backlit velocity sensitive pads, 10 endless rotary encoders and 28 backlit tactile buttons. Pads cab be used for step-sequencing and finger-drumming while rotary-encoders allow to manage sound and effect parameters. 

Rear panel is loaded with a USB-C port, micro-SD slot, 3 standard 5-pin MIDI ports (IN, OUT, THRU), a 3.5mm sync output, L/R Stereo Out, 2 mono inputs and a headphones output.  

The Circuit Tracks’s 32 steps sequencer can arrange chains up to 256 steps per track, while a microSD slot allow to to save and recall thousands of synth patches, samples and projects. Novation Circuit Tracks is class compliant so will work with any modern Mac or Windows PC. Prices: $399.
